The Board announced during the last open session there will be an assessment of approximately 1.2 million coming in July soon after the $500,000 + assessment we were hit with this month. Figure on paying a little more than double what you paid in the May assessment.

Tired of paying the price for people who don't have a clue about how to manage a building or a business? If you are then sign the petition to recall lerner, strumza and miller. There are many better people in the Galaxy who will serve our best interests rather than their own egos. |

I am nearly beside myself with disgust and anger. Who are the people who got us into this mess? They should be outed, shamed and socially sanctioned. There should be a financial autopsy done on and, if appropriate, lawsuits filed. How can an organization be allowed to get itself into this mess? There should be rules, and evaluations of board members performance, before during and after their tenure. We should be relying on Cooper Square more. They are the professionals. We need all the details about these assessments. Someone please post the contact information for all of the pertinant lawyers, accountants and other officials who should be sharing with us all information and/or who know what's going on.
I have a new baby. I have skyrocketing local taxes. And now I have this sh*t!? WTF?

Sam sounds like he could be Hefler and many others who got screwed by Slava.
mlkesq@aol.com (lawyer) Michael Kingman Esq.
RForfa@gtca.org (controller) Bob Forfa
slava@nj.rr.com ( President) Slava Lerner (watch your back Sam)
richmiller31@gmail.com (Asst. Treasurer/ Gofer) lol Richard Miller
jfrankel@wgcpas.com (Auditor CPA) Jules Frankel
jan.vanbergen@coopersquare.com (general manager) Jan Van Bergen Cooper Square Realty
johnhefler@gmail.com (Vice President) John Hefler Don't waste your time sending to him Sam. My last email returned with "No such address" plus I hear he hasn't showed up at the last 20 working sessions since he was elected.
Good luck.

Another way to look at is this: $1.2 million is about $300,000 more than the 7% maintenance increase (increase was $918,000). That increase was spread out over a year...this one will be over 6 months.
What's the purpose? In theory, to get caught up on operating expenses...which isn't going to work unless the board gets serious about controlling expenses...do you see any control?

To my knowledge, Mrs. Nellie Lerner, Slava's mother has not signed the petition and I am the holder of all signed petitions and proxies, as far as I know.
Mrs. Lerner and I share cordial greetings and I believe her to be a decent, respectable lady. I bought her Buick from her and she would not release it to me until she had the passenger's mirror replaced, as it was cracked.
Her opinion of her son's behavior is one, I'm sure, she expresses within the walls of her home. Let's not forget: blood is thicker than water; yet, sinks to the bottom with no life preservers.
